Jonstein
Jonstein, 1344 m – this trip is weather contingent.
Jonstein Mountain can be seen from all around, which means that the view from the top is spectacular. We head out from Botsvatn and the Sherpa stairs on the same path as Bufærveien, but then we venture on unmarked "paths" to the very top of Jonstein. We go back down, following the marked path and the access road back to the starting point.
This hike takes 3-4 hours and requires experience, proper equipment, mountain boots, clothes and preferably walking poles.

Where, how, price
Meeting place:
We meet in Herand where we are picked up by a minibus that takes us to Botsvatn. The drive is about 1 hr. We can also arrange pickup in Jondal ferry terminal.
Level:
Demanding.
Length and time:
3-6 hrs. Depending on experience and fitness level.
Suitable for:
People aged 12 and over who's in excellent physical shape with experience from walking in the mountain. The trip is not suitable for pregnant women over 3 months, people with heart problems, back or knee injuries.
